amiGO and tmr, Sicilian on-demand mobility restarts with youMove
Boosting flows, the variety of vehicles, the ease of travel
The new amiGO system is now available, entirely designed and supported by tmr, helping people organize their journeys flexibly and giving them unlimited possibilities. The beating heart of youMove pulses through the Sicilian territory, offering, as a preview, a mobility service for which there is no need to queue, but which connects all the vehicles present in Sicily in an intermodal way, with a common thread.
Bike sharing or car sharing: everything just a click away, all through tmr's MaaS fleet management platform. Without worrying about schedules and prices, youMove offers Sicilian sharing new features, each one enhanced for the mobility of the future; now it is even easier to synchronize travel on two or four wheels.
Promoted and managed by the company AMAT Palermo S.p.A., amiGO is the sharing service for the Sicilian territory, complementary to public and private transport, intelligent, economical and respectful of the environment. Thanks to youMove, in amiGO the subscriber purchases the actual use of the vehicle rather than the vehicle itself. The service is intended as an alternative to the use of private vehicles and involves sharing a fleet of low-environmental-impact cars, limiting the use of the car to the strictly necessary time.
This allows each amiGO member to achieve significant personal financial savings and to contribute to reducing air pollution, especially in the city. To unlock a vehicle, you will be guided by the mobile app, by using a QR code or selecting it through the geolocated map.
The amiGO app, available on Android and the Apple Store, offers the sharing of basic information, schedules, prices and multimodal itineraries, develops the payment method for the overall route, at the on-demand level allows the sharing of itineraries and information, provides various subscription models and unlimited access to transport services. Thanks to youMove we have created a sharing system for every type of vehicle, so not only bikes and cars, but - why not - in the near future also scooters, cargo bikes and mopeds. Every imaginable vehicle becomes shareable and usable in sharing mode through two methods:
- Station Based, involving the placement of physical, automated stations across the territory, with the function of releasing or receiving the vehicles. The stations also allow cars or bikes to be recharged during periods of inactivity and prevent the pickup of a discharged vehicle.
- Free Floating, a sharing mode that allows the chosen means of transport to be placed across the territory without the direct aid of stations, thus guaranteeing the ability to release vehicles anywhere, within the boundaries set for the circuit.
tmr sets itself the goal of remodeling and reprogramming through IT systems, from application software to IoT; we create new habitats for travel, thinking big, but also thinking about micro-mobility, which does not concern only cities, understood as those we are projected to define as smart cities, but also smaller logics such as individual municipalities. A mobility ecosystem founded on MaaS encourages citizens toward increasingly green mobility projected toward infinite possibilities. At tmr we work tirelessly to allow users, on the one hand, to make more conscious, intermodal and sustainable transport choices, and on the other to support the administration, which through youMove can benefit from a useful knowledge base to manage transport in its territory.
