CTGO: a new era of shared mobility begins in Catania
We are proud to have contributed to the development of the digital platform behind CTGO - Catania Car & Bike Sharing, the new shared mobility service active in the city of Catania.
The project, promoted and managed by AMTS Catania, represents a concrete step toward a more sustainable, integrated and intelligent urban mobility, offering citizens a real alternative to using a private car.
A platform for advanced urban mobility
CTGO was created as an integrated system of car sharing and bike sharing, designed to meet the daily needs of citizens, students and workers.
Through the platform we developed, the service allows users to:
- book vehicles in a few seconds via the app
- access vehicles in a completely digital way
- manage the entire rental cycle: unlocking, use and closing
- use cars and bicycles within a single technological ecosystem
The model is simple: you do not own the vehicle, you only use it when you need it, with a direct impact on reducing costs and emissions.
Flexibility and integration with public transport
One of the key elements of the project is its integration with the city's mobility system.
CTGO:
- works alongside public transport as a complementary solution
- allows flexible uses, round trip or one-way
- provides access to urban services such as parking and priority lanes
- covers the territory with a widespread network of stations
This integration makes the service a concrete lever for improving urban mobility and reducing traffic.
Technology at the service of the city
Our work on CTGO fits fully within the TMR vision: developing technologies that put people and the territory at the center.
We designed a platform that:
- enables scalable fleet management
- simplifies the user experience
- supports operators in operational management
- collects useful data to optimize the service
The result is a digital system that makes shared mobility accessible, efficient and genuinely usable every day.
Toward more sustainable mobility
CTGO represents an important evolution for Catania: a service that encourages the sharing of vehicles, reduces the use of the private car and concretely contributes to the quality of urban life.
The first responses from users confirm the interest in more flexible and sustainable mobility models, capable of adapting to people's real needs.
For us at TMR, this project is the demonstration of how technology can become an enabling infrastructure for the cities of the future.
We will continue to work to evolve the CTGO platform and support the development of new smart mobility services, contributing to the sustainable transformation of territories.
