TorreHub is here: in Torrenova shared mobility starts from Piazza Mare

Shared mobility has arrived in Torrenova. In Piazza Mare, TorreHub was inaugurated: the new public pedal-assist bike service built on the youMove platform.

It is a project we are especially proud of: a new territory joins the TMR mobility universe and chooses our technology to offer residents and visitors a simpler, more sustainable way to get around — one that stays close to the needs of the community.

The inauguration in Piazza Mare

Cutting the ribbon were municipal councillors Massimiliano Corpina and Salvatore Civello — the latter wearing the tricolour sash for the occasion — together with other representatives of the Administration, the Municipal Council and the municipal offices.

Corpina and Civello were the first to get on the bikes, taking a lap around the square in front of the residents who attended.

From the TMR team, CEO Tindaro Terranova and engineers Telesforo Andreacchio and Francesco Carbonetto were present to support the operational launch of the service. During the inauguration we explained how TorreHub works and helped the first users register and activate their accounts.

TorreHub, youMove technology and local identity

TorreHub uses youMove in a white-label version: the technology platform, developed by TMR, is customised with the identity of the project and of the territory that adopts it.

From a single app you can:

• find available bikes and stations;
• unlock the vehicle;
• use the bike for your trip;
• return it at the end of the ride.

Pedal-assist bikes make longer or more demanding routes more accessible and offer a concrete alternative to the car for many everyday journeys.

The technology is the one we designed to run shared mobility services in different contexts; the identity, how it is used and the relationship with the community remain deeply local.

Mobility as a gateway to the territory

That is why the digital experience can pair vehicle availability with the discovery of events and points of interest: from the seafront and beaches of the Tyrrhenian coast to villages, trails and the appointments that bring Torrenova and the Nebrodi territory to life.

Today the youMove ecosystem already includes 1,491 events across the provinces of Messina, Catania and Palermo and 7,867 points of interest across Sicily. A digital heritage that keeps growing, designed to help people discover what is happening around them and reach places, activities and events more easily.
